Profile
Susan Hansen practices family law, with an emphasis on collaborative divorce and mediation. She has practiced in the southeastern Wisconsin area for over 30 years. She has extensive experience in complex financial and child-related family law cases. She provides a client-centered, problem-solving approach to family law issues and supports working in an interdisciplinary process to provide the greatest value and long-term benefits to clients.
Susan is the Past President of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and Past Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She is a member of many professional and community service organizations including the Wisconsin Association of Mediators, AFCC, Association for Conflict Resolution and the Leading American Attorneys Network Advisory Board.
She has frequently presented and written on financial and children’s family law issues for attorneys, educators, and mental health professionals and provided training in mediation and collaborative practice both nationally and internationally.
Her primary practice areas include Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington counties.
