Profile
After many years of working as a therapist, I trained in collaborative divorce and mediation. Having supported many clients through divorce, and seen how devastating it can be, I hope to encourage people to take an approach that will leave every member of the family intact and able to move forward with a sense of hope and integrity.
Divorce is a challenging but normal life event, and one that can lead to positive outcomes for all parties involved. We know that it is conflict, not divorce that is harmful to children and adults alike, I am passionate about assisting individuals, couples, and families to embody their best selves as they navigate the complex process of un-coupling. I have seen that recovery from this difficult undertaking is immeasurably faster when people are able to steer clear of the pitfalls of bitterness, revenge, and distrust. Loss and pain are inevitably part of divorce, but when people lose their ability to behave in a way that aligns with their core values and sense of self, the repair takes much longer.
In addition to working in Collaborative Divorce and Mediation, I own and manage a group psychotherapy practice, Westside Psychotherapy, LLC, serving the Madison area with expert psychotherapy.
