Robert McMillan Arthur is an attorney with Arthur Law Office LLC, practicing in the Metro Milwaukee area and the Fox Valley. He is a general practitioner, concentrating in Family Law, Small Business Law, Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law, and Nonprofit Law.
Robert’s family law practice is centered around Collaborative Family Law and mediation, using his experience and training to empower and inform clients, advocate for their interests, and guide them in difficult problem solving. He is a board member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.
Robert’s business law practice focuses on the needs of small, closely-held businesses and startups. As a veteran of a family owned business, Robert applies his extensive experience to advise his clients in a broad spectrum of legal issues, including contracts, licensing, employment, intellectual property, and business formation.
Robert is on the board of directors of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (current Program Planning chair). He is also on the board of directors for the Collaborative Foundation of Wisconsin (current Research and Grants Chair). He is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Society of Family Lawyers, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Robert graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School, with a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He was an editor for the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review and served on the executive committees of the Client Skills Board, Dispute Resolution Society, Entertainment Law Society, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Christian Legal Society.
Robert is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Prior to his legal career, Robert received his B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University. He began his engineering management career in a small manufacturing company, eventually becoming Chief Operating Officer. He has also worked in teaching, ministry, and in the music industry.
