The Benefits of being a member of the collaborative family law council of wisconsin

Membership in the CFLCW means you have joined with hundreds of other professionals in Wisconsin to support and promote a better way to deal with issues affecting families.

CFLCW members support and follow the principles and goals of the Collaborative Practice concept. The model is a way to resolve disputes respectfully -- without going to court -- while working alongside trained professionals who are equally important to the process.

Collaborative Practice is a solution-oriented approach designed to prevent permanent damage to relationships -- even difficult relationships. Characterized by dignity and fairness, Collaborative Practice is especially useful in divorce, child custody, and civil disputes where parties agree to maintain collaborative standards. The effects of divorce on children and the quality of life after divorce are especially relevant in Collaborative Practice.

Collaborative Practitioner Membership in the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin provides you with a number of benefits, including:

  • Posting of your name and practice information in the referral database on the Council's website
  • Office educational and informational materials
  • Collaborative centered advertisements and client materials
  • Educational & Networking meetings and events
  • Access to the International Academy of Collaborative Practice (requires separate optional membership)
  • Quarterly newsletter
  • Updates on legal and other issues affecting the Collaborative Practice concept

More on the benefits of being a part of the CFLCW can be found at Becoming a Member.
