MISSION AND VISION
our mission:
The Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin,
Inc., (CFLCW) is a statewide association of
lawyers, mental health professionals and financial
advisors who work together to learn, practice and
promote a collaborative process for problem
solving and peaceful resolution of family law
issues.
our vision:
Transform the resolution of family law issues to the respectful process of collaborative law. |
The Benefits of being a member of the
collaborative family law council of wisconsin
Membership in the CFLCW means
you have joined with hundreds of other
professionals in Wisconsin to support
and promote a better way to deal with issues
affecting families.
CFLCW
members support and follow
the principles and goals of the Collaborative
Practice concept. The model is a
way to resolve disputes respectfully -- without
going to court -- while working
alongside trained professionals who are equally
important to the process.
Collaborative Practice is a
solution-oriented approach designed to prevent
permanent damage to
relationships -- even difficult relationships.
Characterized by dignity and
fairness, Collaborative Practice is especially
useful in divorce, child
custody, and civil disputes where parties agree
to maintain collaborative
standards. The effects of divorce on children
and the quality of life after
divorce are especially relevant in Collaborative
Practice.
